“Health is not only the absence of disease, but it is also a state of physical, mental, and spiritual well-being; we need healthcare to achieve this state. Healthcare access is a fundamental human right that should not depend on our economic status or where we live. Healthcare access is a social justice issue that impacts everyone. As a future physician, I want to practice in a system that values human life and promotes equitable access to healthcare. Everyone deserves comprehensive healthcare because every human life is valuable. I will continue to work towards a single-payer healthcare system, until justice is realized.”
