March 11, 2024 educational event will answer questions about Statewide Single Payer for citizens and business owners across Minnesota
Join Minnesotans across the state for an educational discussion about the Single Payer Minnesota Health Plan on March 11 at 7:00pm CT by two of Minnesota’s most knowledgeable advocates of healthcare reform.
Senator Marty authored the Minnesota Health Plan to provide comprehensive, high-quality healthcare to every Minnesotan, with no exceptions. His legislation, which has received national recognition, is the only proposal that would deliver universal healthcare, and save money. Senator Marty says, “it’s time to stop tinkering with healthcare reform and fix the problem” because lives are at stake.
Rose Roach is the Board Chair of Health Care for All Minnesota and recently retired as Executive Director of the Minnesota Nurses Association. Rose has over thirty years of experience in the labor movement in MN and CA. She has been a member of the Healthcare for All MN Board of Directors since it’s reconstitution and is the incoming National Coordinator of the Labor Campaign for Single Payer.
Roach was recognized as one of Minnesota’s 100 influential leaders in health care for 2016 and again in 2020. She served on former Governor Dayton’s Health Care Financing Task Force and as a co-chair of the St. Paul City Task Force on Earned Safe and Sick Time. Rose was also a member of MN Attorney General Keith Ellison’s Lowering Pharmaceutical Drug Prices Task Force whose final report won national Notable Document award from the National Conference of State Legislators.
The event will be moderated by Jen Crawford, Executive Director of Physicians for a National Health Program and sits on the Healthcare for All Minnesota board.
